Happy Thursday,
We had a fabulous short week in Room 8. Below is our learning update for the week!
Language Arts - This week in Language Arts we continued working with quotation marks. We created our own comic strips to practice using them in our writing.
Math - This week in Math, we practiced using all 4 operations. We learned that we have to pay attention to the symbol used in the problem to help us figure out how to solve it.
Science - This week in Science we continued with our Building and Testing Materials unit. We completed several experiments to test different types of joints. We also tested gussets.
Social Studies - This week we continued to look at the concepts of goods, services, resources, technology, imports and exports. We learned how to play a class-wide game that helped us to remember these concepts and use them in real life.
Health - In health class, we continued looking at the area of relationships.
I look forward to talking to grown-ups tonight and tomorrow for our virtual parent-teacher conferences. Do not forget that the virtual bookfair starts today and runs for the next 2 weeks. I have sent home a "flyer" so you can see some of the awesome books for sale. Have a lovely weekend.
