We had a fabulous 5-day week in Room 8. Below is our learning update for the week!
Language Arts - This week in Language Arts we began discussing genres. We also started to learn how to properly use quotation marks in our writing.
Math - This week in Math, we worked on division.
Science - This week in Science we continued with our Building and Testing Materials unit. We completed several experiments to test pillars and arches. A few things we learned include: 4 smaller pillars are better than 1 large one, and round arches are stronger than square arches.
Social Studies - This week we continued to look at the concepts of goods, services, resources, technology, imports and exports.
Health - In health class, we started looking at the area of relationships. We discussed kindness and started a class random acts of kindness wall.
This is your final reminder to order your fun lunch here because the orders are due on March 6, 2021! You are also able to start to book your times for parent-teacher conferences tomorrow. The conferences will take place on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12. Have a wonderful weekend! I will see everyone on Monday in their formal uniforms.
