Hello, Room 8 Team!
We had an action-packed short week here in Room 8. Below is our learning update for the week.
Language Arts - This week in Language Arts we worked on making our stories better. We looked at creating exciting beginnings and adding detail to the characters in our stories.
Math - This week in Math, we began looking at measuring how long it takes us to complete things. We focused on using non-standard units this week.
Science - This week in Science we began our final unit, Hearing and Sound. We learned what the word onomatopoeia means and created a piece of writing using our new knowledge.
Social Studies - This week we continued working on our major Social Studies Cultural Research Project. We are going to wrap up this project in 1 week and begin presenting them to the class.
Health - In health class, we continued looking at the area of relationships. This week we looked at ways that we can be inclusive of others.
Have a wonderful 2-day weekend. I will see everyone back at school on Monday, May 3rd in our formal uniforms. I cannot believe that it is already May. Remember, Wednesday is HATS ON FOR MENTAL HEALTH. That means you can wear a hat with your uniform. This is not a casual day. Stay safe and wash your hands.
